About
Why Psychotherapy?
I have a deep belief in the healing power of psychotherapy as a means to connect with ourselves, our loved ones, our intuition, and heal traumatic wounds. I came to a love of therapy, through the transformative power it has had for myself, and continues to have.
"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”

Caitlin Lindsay (she/her)
RN-Psychotherapist
Through my own journey of illness and recovery and nursing others through the same, I have developed a strong interest in the mind as it connects to the body and the body as it connects to mind.
I am a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP™), a Certified Clinical Traumatologist (TITC-CT), hold an Advanced Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy Studies from The University of Guelph and hold a Master of Nursing (MN) with a collaboration in Addictions Studies, through which I integrated theories of embodiment, psychotherapy, trauma, addiction and recovery. I am an Associate Member of Canadian Association for Couples and Family Therapy. My background as a birth doula and a nurse has built in me a deep appreciation for how hard it is to be alive and the support required to get through challenging and transitional times.
I am an avid lover of music, art and dance, believing that creativity is a part of being alive. I work to integrate this understanding into my practice, along with a spiritual and intuitive sense.
